My mother is diabetic since 2 years and on Metformin twice a day. Her latest lab reports says FBS 125 and HB1AC 5.7%.
Does she need to reduce medicine or continue the same treatment?

In mono therapy metformin generally do not cause hypoglycemia and its safe to continue.
I can see fasting is on higher side even after medication. HbA1c is an average and can be affected by several things. Please check Post meal as well.
