Has half of a tongue need to dry my spit

My boyfriend had half his tongue removed in 2015 after a bad car accident. now he cant keep the saliva in his mouth.it is really embarrassing. is there some type of otc or rx medicine he can take to help dry up the excess saliva in his mouth?

Please check with his doctor and his condition I don’t think this can be controlled with drugs as half of his tongue has been removed may be nerve to been cut off But must consult his surgeon or a neuro surgeon
