My 3 month old son is exclusively formula fed as I have no milk supply . He is on 3oz lactogen1 about every 3 hr now. My baby is extremely gassy and strains to poop which is green in colour and pebble like poop . He generally poops once a day and wets about 6 diapers daily and sometimes skips a day . His cries while passing gas and while straining to pass feaces though no blood streaks or mucous is present. Pls guide how to help with his constipation. Some people suggested gripe water to relieve constipation though I am not sure about it.

Hello. If your baby is having a bowel movement everyday, it is not constipation. Formula fed babies are more gassy than breastfed babies. I feel that everything is okay if your baby has gained enough weight in the last 3 months. Happy parenting!
