Hairloss due to poor hyg.

I experienced extreme hairloss due to deposition of sebum and dirt in my scalp due to negligience during my depression.. it has been two months since I am not taking proper care of my hair and scalp... is the hair loss reversible in my case or are my follicles permanently damaged .. is hairloss due to clogged follicles permanent ? Please tell me if I should be hopeful or not..
