Premature greying of hair⦠also known as premature canities is increasingly common in general population since recent times. The cause could be multi-factorial and needs to be assessed. It could be genetic, environmental, stress-related, secondary to smoking, certain medications or some nutritional deficiencies. All these factors lead to underproduction of melanin that leads to grey or white hair. Practically, turning the grey here into black again is very difficult with medical treatment. However, with proper treatment you can avoid the progression of the problem and prevent further greying. You should send me images through private online consult for a better assessment of the problem and approaching it accordingly. Hope this is helpful.

Greetings. Reversing white/ grey hair to black is indeed among the tough results to show to a patient since this is a multifactorial problem. Since in most it's genetically mediated, it's tough to reverse or treat. However there are certain peptides and newer molecules application of which may be worth a trial. It's also important to rule out hormonal irregularities and nutritional deficiencies. Increase intake of oral anti oxidants. Meet a qualified dermatologist near you for further advice. Hope this helps Caution: Make sure you see a qualified MD / DNB/ DVD dermatologist for all your skin and hair issues. Donât be lured in by quacks. Know your treating doctor/ discourage quackery!
