Hair losss
Hi I didn't had much soo much volume to my hair since childhood. But it was more than average and I don't lose hair more than any other individual, it's just normal amount when I comb. But I am growing back the hair which I loose. And slowly after I had completed my 12th, my scalp has started to become empty. I have not this problem at the back of my head and near my temples. I consulted some doctors and some suggested mintop/minoxidil, some other shampoos hairoils and capsules. But how can I grow my hair back, nothing seems to be working. I was thinkg of hair transplant but recently a dermatologist said that only my hair could be used in the transplant and so It will not make any difference in the total volume of my hair, as some hair from the back of my head will be transplanted to the top of my scalp. The final suggestion was PRP. I am not really sure. Please help me as this now affecting my self esteem very gravely and I don't what exactly to do.

There are many reasons for hair fall or thinning of hair on scalp. So first and foremost we have to find the cause with the help of detailed history and examination. Some of the common causes are nutritional deficiency, hormonal causes like androgenic alopecia or patterned baldness, hypothyroidism, telogen effluvium etc. Unless we find and treat the cause there is no point in giving non specific treatment. Oils or shampoos do not have any effect on hair growth as they are not absorbed in the skin. Moreover, you should never self treat with anything. Please call me or send photographs using online consult option for proper diagnosis and detailed prescription.
