Hair fall due to hypothyroidism

Asked for Female, 40 Years

My weight is 71 kg,my Tsh 4.53, doctor has given me sodium thyroxine 25 mg,but my weight is not reducing, & also ihave sever hair fall.. Iam taking medicine over 1 month.. What should be my dose of thyroxine... Iam more worried about my hair fall.

Hair fall will depend on your thyroid profile. Will improve as your levels come in control,so may take time. You should consult a good physician for your thyroxine dose. For hair fall start tablet with biotin 10mg and a solution to apply on scalp. Strength of solution will depend on grade of your hair think after examination. Also your hemoglobin is important.
