Hello ,I am 22 n hv TSH of 8.20 n hving severe hair fall problem also visited a doc for my hair fall prblm n its been 10 days since I m following his prescription bt no results yet n he tld me to continue for 20days to see results .suggest me smthng as my hair's gotta worse.and do i take thyroid medicines(tsh 8.20).helpppppp!

There are many reasons for hair fall. So first and foremost we have to find the cause with the help of detailed history and examination. Some of the common causes are nutritional deficiency, hormonal causes like androgenic alopecia or patterned baldness, hypothyroidism, telogen effluvium etc. Unless we find and treat the cause there is no point in giving non specific treatment. Oils or shampoos do not have any effect on hair growth as they are not absorbed in the skin.
