Hair fall and regrowth

Hi Doc, Can I take Biotin for hair and beard growth. I have a proper growth of beard on my chin and areas below my cheeks, however it doesn't not grow on the upper part of my chin(between lips and chin) and on my cheeks. Will Biotin help and how many MCG would you suggest I take. Thanks in Advance
