Greetings The risk to the baby is considered very low, but there is limited specific research, and generally advise caution to minimize any potential exposure to the chemicals used.

Hair botox (hair-smoothing treatments) is not proven safe during breastfeeding. Despite being marketed as “formaldehyde-free,” many products contain aldehyde-releasing chemicals that may release formaldehyde when heated. Scalp absorption and inhalation of fumes can occur, and there are no controlled studies evaluating transfer of these chemicals into breast milk. Would suggest to postpone it.
