Chronic throat irritation could be due to tonsillitis or GERD ( gastritis). As your ent doctor gave a clear report. You might have this treatment irritation because of long standing gastritis. Take pantoprazole 40mg once a day for 14 days before meals. Take care of your diet too. Reduce spice and oil. Reduce citrus foods also. Also continue doing hot water gargling. If the throat irritation is still not subsiding after gastritis medication , get a endoscopy done.
