Gynaecology
Good morning. I went for a smear on the 10th November (not yet had results) I had quite substantial contacr bleeding so was sent down to the GP. Due to other symptoms....stomach cramps, back ache, irregular bleeding etc the doctor referred me to my local hospitals gynaecology department. The average appointment wait time is currently 17 weeks. Should I be concerned about the wait time with the symptoms being experienced?

Please chase the smear results, it should've been ready by now. With the way you describe your bleeding, 17 weeks is too long a time to wait. You need to see a Gynaecologist fairly soon.
