Hello Doctor,
I had a mild leg sprain recently and was advised to take rest. However, I went to the gym and since then the pain and discomfort have worsened.
I am now experiencing increased pain while walking and slight swelling. Could you please advise if I should continue complete rest.
Thank you.

You should take rest when advised even if u r feeling better.. it will worsen the situation. Take rest atleast for a week... no walking except for the toilet.
