Green Stool of baby
My 4 month old daughter had been given 2nd dose of  pentavalent and ROTA virus vaccines on 8th October. Since then she is having green stool 5-6 times a day. Doctor first prescribed Taxim O drops for 6 days. But no improvement was seen. Later pediatrician prescribed CNCM I- 745. It's continuing for the last 3 days. Still she is having green and watery stool. No weight gain for the last 2 weeks. Activities of baby is normal. She is passing urine 10-12 times a day. She is on complete breast feed. What is the reason and how can it be cured? We are worried as she is not gaining weight even after taking sufficient breast milk. Please help doctors.

Care AI Shimmer
Some times diarrhea sets in with Rota vaccine. Relax. No tratment required just keep hydration. Give ORS , coconut water, and rice cereals with curd home made from tone milk , add banana.  The child was put on probiotics( sort of) without any effect. If frequency of stool increase, stop feeds by mouth. Start IV drip of glucose saline. Diarrhea will stop and will be lively due nutrient support.

Have yous started top feeds for her? Is she receiving anything apart from mother's milk? If yes, that could be contributory.  Should consult a Paediatrician to understand feeding pattern and suggest management.
Next Steps
Exclusive breastfeeding is recommended for 1st 6months of life.
