This needs a knee splint, painkillers, ice packs and rest. You have to give this 4-6 weeks to settle and once the acute phase of swelling and pain settle down, then you will need physiotherapy and exercises to help strengthen the knee muscles. This will be a Long rehabilitation as you have had a big injury to knee and also after being immobilised, it will take time to gain strength.
Hope this helps.
