Got cut from wooden Cabinet

Asked for Female, 22 Years

My Son is 2.5 years old he got cut on his head and given 3 stitches. But doctor did not given Teatanus injection? Does it required or not. He was prescribed SACCTIK PLUS. Please advise if we should go for Teatanus shot.

If the last dose of tetanus as per IAP schedule has been given then no need of giving tetanus till 5 years of age. Also it depends on nature of injury.
