What you are describing is very typical of anxiety relapse symptoms after stopping medication. When you take tension: • Adrenaline increases • Heart rate increases (palpitations) • Blood pressure fluctuates • Breathing becomes shallow • Brain interprets it as danger • Dizziness happens This is called a sympathetic surge or panic physiology. Important: Palpitations + dizziness during stress does NOT automatically mean heart disease — especially if: • It comes only during tension • It settles after some time • You are otherwise healthy Stopping anxiety medicine suddenly can also cause rebound symptoms.
Next Steps
First clarify: ✔ Did you stop medicine suddenly or gradually? ✔ Which medicine was it? Now what to do: Immediate Control During Episode: • Sit down • Slow breathing: inhale 4 sec – hold 4 sec – exhale 6 sec • Do not check pulse repeatedly • Tell yourself “this is anxiety, not danger” Medical Side: ✔ Get ECG once (for reassurance) ✔ Check thyroid ✔ Check Vitamin B12 & D ✔ Sleep minimum 7 hours If symptoms frequent: You may need: • Restart low-dose medication OR • Start CBT therapy (very effective long-term) Do not self-restart without doctor advice.
Health Tips
✔ Reduce caffeine ✔ Daily walking 30 minutes ✔ Fix sleep schedule ✔ Avoid Googling heart symptoms ✔ Practice breathing daily even when calm Key point: Anxiety symptoms feel dangerous but are not dangerous. If episodes are increasing or affecting your work/life, it is better to manage this early instead of letting it become chronic again. If you share which medicine you were taking earlier, I can guide whether restarting is reasonable or therapy alone may help. Booking an online consultation will allow structured anxiety management and prevent repeated relapse.

Hello, When anxiety medicine is stopped suddenly, symptoms like palpitations and dizziness can return, especially during stress. This is common. What you should do: • Do not restart medicines on your own • Consult your doctor again for review • Practice slow deep breathing during episodes • Reduce caffeine and lack of sleep If palpitations are frequent, an ECG and thyroid test may be advised to rule out other causes. Anxiety is treatable, but it needs proper follow-up. I recommend a consultation to adjust treatment safely and prevent recurrence.
