Hello Doctor, I am Having GERD/Acid reflux from last year October. That time I had chronic cough and heartburn now that is treated with antacid, But Still, I am having red throat from them and I am not getting over it even after so many months. Please tell me what Meds I need to take and what lifestyle changes I need to do in order to heal it. Can you also tell me how much time it will take to heal? Thanks.

If you have only redness in the throat and no pain or any other symptoms then you need not take any medication for it. Just continue the antacids till you get complete relief. As to precautions, avoid spicy and oily foods. Avoid eating large meals at night. Avoid lying down immediately after eating. Prefer to have more amount to fruits and vegetables in your diet. Avoid tea and coffee.
