Ganglion cysts are very common and so is their recurrence after treatment. Most cysts dont cause any symptoms. This is basically herniation of joint fluid through the weakest partbof joint capsule due to inadvertent pressure on the joint. Gymming can be done only after adequate strength training exercises are sought for under supervised physiotherapist. Increase reps with light weight will give strength and tone to structures supporting the capsule. The hard thing that you feel might be the healing scar where the excision has been performed. Please consult your orthopaedic surgeon in case u still have a question unanswered!
