Fungal infections in whole body
I have been facing some digestion issues in the month of July so my gastroenterologist had started Velgut capsule (prebiotic+probiotic). I was feeling good so I asked him if could continue it. So he said there is no side effect and I can continue it forever and I did. But in past 2-3 months I have developed infections on various body parts- below my ears, on my ears, inside ears as well, in the groin region, both forearms, some patches here and there on belly. Earlier I thought it's dry skin but yesterday I consulted a dermat and he said it's all fungal infection. So my main concern is, if this medicine VELGUT (being a probiotic+prebiotic) is causing all these fungal infections? Should I continue or stop taking it?

You are suffering from tinea. It can be treated by taking four to six weeks of anti fungal treatment which includes tablets along with creams. Do not use soap over that area. Mistreatment with over the counter Steroid containing creams like fourderm, panderm, quadriderm, dermi5, cloben g betnovate, dermikem OC, candid b etc lead to repeated case of recurrence and also side effects due to application. Yes, it's a fungal infection. And a massive one. You probably have applied betnovate, fourderm, quadriderm, panderm or something like that.
