My grandfather having fungal infection in his throat , his oxygen level is 96 , no fever , doctor gave clotrimazole mouth paint , using it thrice a day four drops, help me ,is it black fungus?

As per the history white patches are due to candidiasis generally common in patients taking steroid sprays or diabetics
But the color change to black is a danger sign would suggest to shown an ENT surgeon or take an online condult
