Formula top up after breastmilk
Hi my baby boy is 3 month old, I have been giving him first breast feed and then topping up with formula each time because he always seem to be hungry and crying for more milk, I am also worried that my supply is low as when I pump I could get hardly 40 ml from each breast, is it ok to top up with formula every time of feed ??

Look for reason for poor breast milk production, is it real or false assumption? 1st see ... Define : Weight gain + urine output = best indicators Signs baby may NOT be getting enough :: < 5 wet diapers/day Poor or no weight gain Persistent crying after feeds Very long feeds (>30–40 min) or falling asleep immediately Dry mouth, sunken eyes, decreased activity Urine output (most important) 6–8 wet diapers/day Urine should be pale yellow, not dark or concentrated Weight gain :: Expected gain: 20–30 g/day Baby should have regained birth weight and be steadily gaining Best objective indicator : Feeding behavior Feeds actively for 10–20 minutes (breast) No persistent rooting immediately after feed
