For my baby boy whonis 2 mths 5 days old
I was blessed with baby oy on this june 29. He is grunting quite often in a day . He makes noises while sleeping in day time and his stomach will go insidewhile breething. He is taking feeding good enough . But initial first 1 minute he was not comfortable. After 2 mnts he can take breast feeding easily . But use to make noice slightly .i use to give formula feed 3 times a day. After formula feed ,he use to make grunting soind more. And i was in tense . I consulted peditrician andsaid all this He said there was no mucus in his nose . Its normal to make grunting till 6 to 8 months . Is it normal really or he is having oxygen probs .pls suggest me

Hello,breathing pattern of newborn is different from adults..grunting is a sound heard during expiration and this is not normal..that might be other conductive sound…need to physically examine the baby ..for further opinion…if your paediatrician said ..then it. Might be some other sound which is considered as normal in babies..
