Foot pain followed by chickengunya
Hi, I am still suffering with the heavy pain in my feet following the chickengunya which was diagnosed in October 2016. But I still feel the pain and sometimes when I sit for more than 20 minutes at a stretch it starts paining. Please advice. Thanks

Start with contrast bath twice a day. Perform foot attaching exercises. Keep feet moist and wear comfortable shoes. Ultrasound therapy can be helpful.

Hello. This problem is frequently encountered post chikunguniya. Its better to start with contrast bath means immersing in hot for 3 minutes and cold water for 1 minute alternatively for total 10 to 12 minutes and ending up with hot. Wax bath will also help followed by ankle and foot exercises for management of stiffness. Consult an orthopedic physiotherapist for same.
