FRA test is down to diagnose cerebral folate deficiency. Which is 1 in million case.
Dose of folinic acid depends on weight for the child. Over doses are safe.
Tab leucovorin 15 mg available in market with brand name leucorin is around 540/- for 10 days cost. A 3 months therapy or more may be recommended by your doctor.
There are many other issues apart from this test in autism. Even if this medicine is claimed to help in speech, unless keep telling stories and conversations to child focussing on input speech, output speech is useless and meaning less.
Autism kids face issues with eye contact, processing speed and developing common sense and gestural communication and not just speech output . Book a consultation with Dr Kondekar.
Next Steps
visit a doctor , show exact result. discuss all symptoms get autism certified or assessed as per DSM 5 CRITERIA. plan holistic goals to show some positive change in sitting and eye contact which is important for listening.
Health Tips
focus on turning a child into good listener, if your goal is to develop speech out out and socialization.
