Fluoxetine and Escitalopram
My doctor prescribed Fluoxetine 20mg at morning and escitalopram 10mg at night with clonazepam 0.5mg. I'm on these medications since 3 days. Earlier I was on Pexep Cr 12.5 prescribed by online doctor. But taken it only for 2 days and switched to my current doctor medicine. Does this cause any problem? Does taking fluoxetine at morning and escitalopram at night cause serotonin syndrome? Read it at google Will I die? I'm very anxious.

The individual  medications  appear fine ,however,  the rationale for the use of two  agents of the same class, i.e. Escitalopram and Fluoxetine cannot be understood  from the limited  information  available. Although  serotonin  syndrome  is  a relatively rare occurrence  in clinical  practice, it is advisable  to formulate the treatment  plan attuned to the needs of the person after a detailed   evaluation ,keeping in mind  the various  possibilities of adverse effects  and  potential  drug  interactions as well as the risk - benefit ratio for the person concerned.
