Hi. I am a Pediatric Dentist. Definitely go ahead with the Fluoride varnish application. Semiannual application (twice a year) application is a must for caries prevention in children. No brushing and consuming hard food after application ( for 1 day)
Next Steps
Follow up is a must for children as cavities spread quickly in children ( visit your Pediatric Dentist every 3-6 months)
Health Tips
Promote Healthy eating habits, avoid sticky foods ( cookies, gummies), sugar loaded fruit juices and twice daily brushing with recommended fluoridated tooth paste
Happy parenting!

After application avoid brushing for that day
it need to be repeated. whether 6 ,months or annually depends on the follow up check up after 6 months
Yes … from 22 month old child fluoride varnish can be applied .. or we see four anterior teeth entirely erupted in mouth we can apply varnish .
No risk it is safe and preventive method to avoid dental caries
As child have high caries index whatsoever the reason been so it’s important to implement preventive measures . Rather wait and watch for dental caries to actively cause decay to milk teeth .
