Fits medicine on daily basis
My kid is 4 years and 7 months old. Recently we met a homeopathy doctor for my kids behavior issue. My kid is taking medicine for fits on daily basis both in the morning and night. I have many doubts in homeopathy. Doctor has given 8 pills in the morning and 8 pills at night . My doubt is what is the minimum time gap between both the homeopathy doses? Also please tell the time gap between homeo and allopathy medicine. Which should be taken first? Can I give 8 pills at a time to my kid or is there time gap for giving each pill? Also if suppose if I forget to give her the pill in a day, will it cause side effects? If she doesn't take by mouth, can we mix with water.

You can take all 8 homoeopathic pills at the same time in water or on direct mouth before food. Gap between allopathic and homoeopathic medicines should be 30mts If you forgot it won't cause any side effects. But it will affect right time medicines action.Try to give medicines without fail. Homoeopathic medicines can be taken first since it acts well on empty stomach. For further queries and consultation Kindly consult through practo app Dr.Fathima 22years of Medical Experience

All your questions should be answered by the doctor who prescribed it. As a general rule you have to give 8 pills as one dose at a time. The time difference between two doses are variable and depends on the need of the case. At least 15 mins before or after taking homoeopathic medicine you should avoid taking anything including allopathic medicine. Allopathy and homoeopathy do not interact physically or chemically. It is better not to miss the dosage.

Hello Thai question is repeated Still I would answer it - keep a gap of 10-15mins between both the medicine 10-12 hrs between two dose You can give 8pills together - no need for any gap Yes you can mix it with 5ml of water and give it to your child Trust your doctors - and if you don’t have faith treatment would never work so rather don’t do it.

First and foremost, please do not take Homoeopathic treatment if you have doubt in Homoeopathy. Now, considering that you do want to still continue with the treatment reluctantly then here is your answer: - There should be a gap of 15-30 mins between two Homoeopathic medicines. Also, many Homoeopathic medicines act best at a certain time of the day as well. eg. Carcinosinum is the medicine that should be given at night for best results. So, it is not only about the interval but also about the time of day. - Now, coming to the second question, you should maintain the gap of 30 mins- 1 hour between allopathic medicine and Homoeopathic medicines. - Thirdly, you certainly can give 8 pills at a time. You need to understand that pills are basically vehicle that carry medicine. So, it is the medicine in the pills that acts and not merely the pills. - Answer to fourth question, Homoeopathic medicines do not cause any side effects. But, the action of the medicine course definitely gets impacted if you miss doses. So, it is best if you follow proper course for the best results. - Lastly, 'Yes', you certainly can mix pills in water as well. In addition, ask your doctor to give you medicine in liquid form if your child cannot take pills.

Health Tips
A research published in 2023 compared Individualised Homoeopathic treatment (IHT) to placebo in cases of epilepsy and found it to be very effective in managing the disease and relapses. So, you need to trust the process and the doctor instead of panicking. Rest, take good care and hoping for speedy recovery of your child.
