Fibroid on ovary

Asked for Female, 46 Years

I have abdominal dissension and low back pain. One occasion of spotting between period (which has never happened before). I had an ultrasound abdominal scan and was advised I have a 5cm x 6cm fibroid. The internet discusses uterine fibroids but not very much on fibroids on ovary. Is this common? Should I be having further tests to rule out cancer?

Yes ovarian fibroid are too common but to rule out carcinoma you should go for further test..and consult your nearby oncologist..!!
