Blood cultures are diagnostic test for typhoid and not Widal test. In typhoid, widal test titres will rise after 2 to 4 weeks and one cannot wait till then to diagnose typhoid. Patient has to be treated earlier then that. Hence, if clinically and/or by blood cultures it is typhoid, one has to treat it. Regarding your case necessary history and details are missing.
