Femural Rod Insertion Broke
Six months ago, My mom fell & had a right leg fracture at the hip, where doctor did surgery & inserted a rod in the bone with screws. Today, she had some pain & after x-ray, we found that the rod was broken. She had not fallen or no jerk or sleeping on that side. My question is... Can the rod break without any major blow or jerk or fall...?

Yes it can break..every metal has a break point so it can break..With titanium and steel rods it can happen..if it's too painful needs to be taken out..
