The symptoms of OCD are best managed with a combination of medication and therapy. Medication helps in immediate relief while therapy is long term and will help understand and address your fears. Since you are already on medication I would suggest to begin therapy as well.

As a person on medication for OCD, your obsessive thought and fear about getting rabies infection from a cat is understandable. Contact with pet animals is usually safe, especially since you say that the cat has not touched you and you did not feel any pain caused by the biting or scratching by the cat. Obsessive thoughts of this kind are quite common among the people suffering from OCD. With this, I would suggest you to consult your psychiatrist and explain your present state of mind. The doctor will explore the need to make changes in the medication and dosage to make you feel better.
Next Steps
Please consult your mental health doctor.
