Fatty liver disease NAFLD
I have fatty liver grade 1 with elevated liver enzymes sgpt and sgot (40 and 70). Fibroscan is normal.Does saroglitazar offer any long-term benefits for me.

With elevated liver enzymes you are in second stage of NAFLD - that is NASH, liver cell inflammation has started. Before starting saroglitazar…you should get done specific blood tests (mention below plus few based on reports) related to ‘metabolic dysfunction’. along with that two main concerns- What is your BMI?, Do you take alcohol? Starting saroglitazar as blanket for fatty liver is not advisable, consult liver specialist and follow advice.
