Dear Patient, This pattern of forehead pain, along with prolonged cold, is most likely due to sinus-related inflammation/congestion. Morning heaviness or pain over the forehead is a common presentation. Supportive care like steam inhalation, fluids, rest, and appropriate symptomatic treatment usually helps. However, if symptoms are persistent or recurrent, proper evaluation is needed to confirm whether it is sinusitis or another type of headache. Please seek urgent review if you develop fever, swelling around eyes, severe headache, vomiting, or visual symptoms. You can consult online for a detailed assessment and personalised treatment plan. Based on your symptoms—forehead pain for the last 3 days, mainly in the morning (8–12), along with a cold for about 10 days—this is most likely related to Frontal Sinusitis, which is inflammation of the frontal sinuses located behind the forehead. After a cold, mucus can get trapped in the sinuses, causing pressure and pain in the forehead, especially in the morning hours when sinus drainage is reduced overnight. This type of pain usually improves later in the day as the sinuses start draining.
Next Steps
• Continue treatment for the cold and sinus congestion. Doctors often recommend steam inhalation and nasal sprays such as Fluticasone to reduce sinus inflammation. • You may take Paracetamol for pain relief if needed. • If symptoms persist beyond 7–10 days, worsen, or are associated with fever, swelling around the eyes, or severe headache, consult a doctor for further evaluation as antibiotics may sometimes be required.
Health Tips
• Do steam inhalation 2–3 times daily to help clear sinus congestion. • Drink plenty of warm fluids to help thin mucus. • Avoid cold drinks, dust exposure, and sudden temperature changes while recovering. • Try saline nasal rinses, which can improve sinus drainage and reduce pressure. If you’d like, you can book an online consultation and share more details about your symptoms or any nasal blockage, and I can help confirm whether this is sinus-related and guide you with the most appropriate treatment.

Hello. Based on what you described, forehead pain with recent cold symptoms could be related to sinus congestion, which can commonly cause pain in the forehead, especially in the morning. This may occur due to blocked sinus passages after a cold or nasal congestion. However, an accurate diagnosis depends on proper clinical evaluation. In the meantime you may consider: • Taking steam inhalation to relieve nasal blockage Since treatment depends on the exact report values and symptoms, a detailed review would be helpful. You may book an online consultation for proper evaluation and personalized treatment guidance.
