Face skin ruined. Pls help

Asked for Male, 17 Years

I have heavy melasma all over my face after using retin a 0.5.i go to the nearest doctor for acne problem and he recommended me this medication after using this cream my face is peeling and my skin is dry but acne is gone with little scar and after somedays i stop using it. And when i go outside in sun in evening i realized my face skin is going to black with patches or space of acne is white. Now i go to a dermatology specialist in krishna nagar. But doctor say your skin is recover in years.
