My wife is facing extreme hairfall from the time she has shifted to Mumbai from Chandigarh . She has stopped using tap water to wash her hair and uses mineral water for wash. She covers her hair to avoid pollution . But still no improvement. Is the hair fall because of change in city or due to some other reason

Hi
several medications, including those for blood pressure problems, diabetes, heart disease and cholesterol.Fungal infections (such as tinea capitis)
FolliculitisHypervitaminosis A
Iron deficiency or malnutrition in general
Seborrheic dermatitis, a condition in which an excessive amount of sebum is produced and builds up on the scalp (looking like an adult cradle cap) is also a symptom of hormonal imbalances, as is an excessively oily or dry scalp. Both can cause hair thinning.
As you stated ... change in water may also leads to hair loss...
