Excessive Suntan on forehead
Hi dr, I have excessive suntan on my forehead, and hyperpigmentation in the nose area. I use to apply lotus sunscreen spf 50+ but still the tanning wont reduce. After that i consulted a dermat. She prescribed be a sunscreen(photostable) and a face wash( minoz). For hyperpgmtn she prescribed glyco 6. But still suntan and dark spots wont reduce. I tried lemon, fullers earth, turmeric, honey etc but the effect is of short span. There is no glow on my face, it looks very dull and suntan make it even look worse. I even started green tea for intoxication and neem juice, however with no success. I am really frustrated and disturbed now. What should i do?? I dont want to be fair, i just want a clear glowing skin thats it?? Please help I smoke on regular basis and alocohol consumption is once a week..

There can be several causes why your skin would turn dark or you may get pigmentation. Sun tan, overweight, pigmentation disorders like acanthosis nigricans or melasma, nutritional deficiency etc are some conditions. Unless someone examines you, we cannot know the cause. Unless we find out the cause it is difficult and pointless to treat. Please call me or send photos with detailed history using online consult option for examination and proper treatment.,
