Excessive Hairfall

I had been for hair straightening 6months back now I'm going through excessive hairfall problem I have lost nearly lot of hair from the front portion till crown area and the scalp is also being visible I can feel my fingers and emptiness in d scalp I have been to a doc who has prescribed me medicine for the last 15days but nothing worked also gone through all test are negative but no result... I'm using shampoo L'Oreal xtenso and conditioner... Plz advice

There are many reasons for hair fall. So first and foremost we have to find the cause with the help of detailed history and examination. Some of the common causes are nutritional deficiency, hormonal causes like androgenic alopecia or patterned baldness, hypothyroidism, telogen effluvium etc. Unless we find and treat the cause there is no point in giving non specific treatment. Oils or shampoos do not have any effect on hair growth as they are not absorbed in the skin.
