ESR Raised to 58
My mother 61 yrs old has ESR of 58 She has pain in medial side of right foot Other then this there is no issue RA checked and it was on point. She is taking daily calcium suppliments due to age and homeopathy med for foot pain. She also has age related OA This raised ESR is cause of Our worry. What should be done?

Hello please get her peripheral blood smear done . Sometimes esr raised in Iron Deficiny anemia. She need to be checked . Consult your rheumatologist for further course of action

Raised ESR is a sign of inflammation. Check Uric acid level . Use some anti inflammatory medicine to relief the pain and inflammation.

Hi Raised  ESR may  be   due  to  arthritis - OA Consult  ortho  doctor ESR  need  to  be  evaluated. You  told  she  is  taking  medicines   for  foot  pain So  once  the  pain  relieved  Again check ESR
