ESR 27. Female 37years
I got bruises in my arm. Doctor suggested for cbc and pt inr test. All normal. Doctor suggested further Esr test it show 27???What dose it mean??Anything to worry about

ESR indicates there is infection in the body. Also there is bruises.. To rule out the it the history is important. Any other symptoms do you have? Without any prblm body didn't gave indications. For better treatment you should take consultation. You can take consultation by me on practo.

Bruises are generally due to breakage of capillaries below the skin (and mucus membrane, gums). Do you have bleeding gums ?. Take Vitamin C tablets ( Chewcee 500 mg) once dail and plenty of Citrus family fruits. Check for new bruises after exerting pressure on arm. That may confirm capillary breakage due to Vitamin C deficiency.

Actually ESR shows that there is some chronic infection going on in the body, 27 is upper normal limit, if you don’t have any sign or symptoms of any disease that’s fine, but if have.. then see your doctor…. and to be on safe side repeat ESR after some days… Good Luck

ESR = 27 indicate that you have some infection but it's not relate to bruise . You shouldn't worry about your bruise . Once time you should consultation for right diagnosis and it's need your complete history .

Bruises are mostly traumatic which I don't think are. you need to consult the doctor so he can review and help you
