ERIG shots (cat bite)
Hi. Took home stray kitten, taken care of for 2 weeks bit me on my finger Feb28, drew blood. I was trying to feed him. He was blind, walked in circles, had very swollen left eye, and the vet said it was most likely head trauma. Got shots the next day but wasn't given ERIG. 3 days later, the kitten died. We're suspecting it's the head trauma as he didn't exhibit any signs of rabies. March5, I was given ERIG but only on wound site and not the total amount prescribed. Am I safe??? Please help.

Erig/ars, the exact dose is 40iu/kg body n that has to be given on the site of bite, n if the site is small then rest can be given on bilateral gluteal Lateral upper quadrant, don't be worried but do complete the schedule of Arv(ID) or rabies vaccine im, whichever dose u had, hope you have a good insight now. N don't skip the doses coz you don't know that the kitten was rabies infected or not.
