Enlarged spleen and high ESR
I’m a 29-year-old woman who recently had a routine check-up and abdominal ultrasound. Most of my reports were normal (CBC, LFT, KFT, thyroid), except that my ESR was in the 50s (it had been around 40 six months ago). The ultrasound showed grade 1 fatty liver and a borderline enlarged spleen measuring 11.9 cm. I don’t have any symptoms at present. My doctor said there’s nothing to worry about and advised me to eat healthy and stay hydrated. However, I tend to worry a lot about my health and can’t stop thinking about conditions like lymphoma, since I know it can sometimes cause splenomegaly and high ESR. Do these findings actually require further investigation, or is it safe to leave them alone and move on?

Already answered. Spleen  if recurrent  fever is there. As such no medicine as we don't  know  the cause eg recurrent  material which can be treated  by falcigo tab two  per week  for six weeks. Esr denotes chronic inflammation  any where in body.  In your  case one  is Spleen. No separate treatment. Spleen  not going  to harm.

Hello Ma’am, Your reports show grade 1 fatty liver and a borderline enlarged spleen (11.9 cm) with a slightly raised ESR. Since all other tests (CBC, LFT, KFT, thyroid) are normal and you do not have any symptoms, this does not immediately point towards a serious illness like lymphoma. Grade 1 fatty liver is very common and usually reversible with lifestyle measures like maintaining a healthy weight, regular exercise, balanced diet, and avoiding excess fatty/sugary foods or alcohol. Borderline splenomegaly can sometimes be seen in normal people, after infections, or due to mild inflammatory changes. If you are symptom-free and blood counts are normal, it is usually not worrisome. ESR is a non-specific marker that can rise with minor inflammation, infections, stress, or even in some normal individuals. Alone, it does not confirm any disease. At present, there seems to be no urgent need for extensive investigations. What you can do is: Repeat ESR and an ultrasound after 3–6 months to check for changes. Focus on diet, exercise, hydration, and stress management. Watch for warning symptoms like unexplained fever, night sweats, weight loss, or persistent pain/swelling — if these occur, then consult your doctor immediately. So yes, for now, it is safe to follow lifestyle advice and monitor rather than worrying about serious conditions. I hope it helps you. High Esr only suggests some health issue for some time. Borderline splenomegaly can be due to some infection or autoimmune disease. Get a complete blood picture,  liver function tests , ANA test, share results. Follow a healthy life style.

ESR 50, mild fatty liver, and borderline spleen enlargement are nonspecific and usually not lymphoma, especially without symptoms. Repeat tests (CBC, LFT, ultrasound) and follow up with your doctor for reassurance.
Health Tips
Follow a healthy diet (less oily, fried, junk foods and have  more fruits & veggies). Exercise at least 30 min a day to improve fatty liver. Stay hydrated. Repeat ESR and ultrasound after a few months. Manage stress, as anxiety can worsen health worries. See a doctor if you develop unexplained fever, weight loss, or swollen glands.
