Emotional pain causing physical pain
Is it possible to have such emotional pain that it causes you physical pain. Such as losing a dear loved one and the emotions from the memories of them cause pain in your chest. It feels like heart is being restricted. And it only stops once your distracted from those memories and thoughts and have calmed down.

Because of the autonomal arousals in certain emotional conditions like fear, anxiety, depression, chronic stress one can actually experience pain and discomfort in the body.
