I have been having following symptoms:-
Pain in Ear, blocked nose, clicking sound when opening mouth, pain on right side of neck and whenever I bend my neck downwards.
After consulting my doctor he asked me to get an xray which said that I have elongated styloid process, doctor prescribed me some medications to ease my neural pain, it stopped but after two weeks it started again. He also said that it is a rare condition and if it affects you, you should get a surgery done. I just wanted to ask that is the surgery safe and is there any ENT specialist who has done this procedure since it is quite rare?

Hi...based on the history you have provided you might be suffering from Eagle's syndrome!
If the symptoms are not controlled with medication...then you have to go for surgery!
The condition is known as Eagle's Syndrome. I have done 3 such surgeries in my 2 decade career, both successfully executed. You are welcome to come down to Bangalore and meet me.
