Elbow Fracture - Post Surgery
Hello, My father has went through an Elbow Surgery for Olecranon fracture in his right arm on 8th Dec. The Surgery were done via joing the bone with K- tension wire. Post 20days later, at present his stiches & plaster has been removed but K-wire is still inside which will be removed after 2months. I wanted to know does Physiotherapy should be done while having K-wire inside it? If yes, then please suggest me exercises & process accordingly. Also, please let me know how much time will it take to gain to strengthen & straightening his arm joint? Please find attached Post Surgery Xray report.

Start elbow movements gradually as fracture site is not compressed fully during surgery as we are able to see the gap at fracture site. Go slowly and let bone form between fracture site
Next Steps
Start full movements after 1 month post surgery
