Dear Patient, Thank you for sharing your symptoms. A dry cough with yellow mucus can be indicative of a respiratory infection, which could be either viral or bacterial. Given that you have been experiencing this for four days, it is important to monitor your symptoms closely. Here are some general recommendations: 1. **Hydration**: Ensure you are drinking plenty of fluids to help thin the mucus. 2. **Rest**: Adequate rest can help your body fight off the infection. 3. **Medications**: Over-the-counter cough suppressants and expectorants may provide some relief. However, it is crucial to use medications as per a healthcare provider's advice. Given the persistence of your symptoms, I strongly recommend a consultation to determine the exact nature of the infection and to receive appropriate treatment. Self-medication can sometimes lead to complications or delay in recovery. For further consultation and to discuss your symptoms in detail, you can reach me directly on WhatsApp at **Eight Zero Zero Nine Eight Two One Three Three Two**. Take care .
