Here I am Dr Vinay Swaroop ENT specialist patient of known diabetes running the age of 48 years having dry cough and dry throat could be due to the poor oral hygiene , it could be due to taking some group of antihypertensive medicines  next is the post nasal discharge due to different sinuse problems using the nasal decongestant like xylometazoline and oxymetazoline frequently.  The Other causes due to atrophic pharyngitis or rhinitis could also be one of the important cause of dryness of throat
