I am having dry barking cough since yesterday. I have no other symptoms like fever, running nose, body pain or chest pain. I am having a bit of metal taste whenever I cough. Today, while brushing my teeth, I saw a little bit of blood in saliva while coughing. This only happened once and I tried once again, but no blood.
I have no history of any other diseases.
What could be the reason? What should I do?

You seem to be suffering from viral upper respiratory tract infection which is a common type of throat infection in this season. Usually treatment is symptomatic with cough syrups, steam inhalation etc. Usually recovery occurs in three to five days
Next Steps
Consult nearby physician for confirmation of diagnosis and appropriate treatment if required
