Hello, I am Dr. Romain Rajan, General Physician. Your case has been allotted to me. I understand your concern. Tingling and numbness, or a pins-and-needles sensation in one hand—especially when driving—can occur due to nerve compression or irritation in the wrist, elbow, or neck region. It may also result from poor posture or vibration exposure while riding for long periods. Advices Avoid keeping your wrist or elbow bent for long durations while driving or using your phone. Try to keep the wrist in a neutral position. Do gentle wrist and neck stretches twice daily to relieve nerve pressure. You may use a soft wrist splint while sleeping or driving if symptoms worsen, as this often helps in early nerve recovery. What to Monitor Note if numbness spreads to other fingers or if you start dropping objects accidentally. Watch for persistent weakness, pain at night, or loss of sensation. Management You may try taking a Vitamin B12 supplement (after confirming with your doctor) and use warm compresses over the wrist or neck region for comfort. Please avoid self-medicating with painkillers or steroids without supervision, as the cause can differ from person to person. When to Consult a Doctor Immediately If numbness becomes continuous or starts affecting daily work. If there is visible weakness or muscle thinning in your hand. If pain radiates from the neck down to the fingers. Every patient’s situation is unique. For accurate diagnosis and lasting relief, it’s important to discuss your symptoms and medical history in detail. You can reach out to me directly for this case, and also connect with me in the future for any medical consultation. I am available on Practo or on WhatsApp at 85271646 seven seven for a one-on-one consultation, where you’ll receive: A personalized treatment plan Safe medicine adjustments (if required) Quick follow-ups to track your recovery Take care, wishing you good health. Best regards, Dr. Romain Rajan General Physician

This is radicular pain. The nerve supplying that portion of the arm is trapped somewhere along its course. I suggest you take a physiotherapist session. Later you may consult the orthopedic.
Next Steps
You may start Neurobion Forte

Hello 👋 I’ve carefully gone through your symptoms — tingling, numbness, and pins-and-needles sensation in your right hand while driving — and I can understand how troubling that feels. From your description, the most likely possibilities include: Carpal Tunnel Syndrome – compression of the median nerve in the wrist, common in people who ride bikes, type, or use mobile devices frequently. Cervical Radiculopathy – nerve irritation in the neck (C5–C7 region) that can radiate numbness or tingling into the hand. Peripheral Nerve Compression or Entrapment – sometimes due to posture or repetitive stress while riding. Since your symptoms involve nerves, the right specialist to consult first would be a Neurologist. If nerve compression is confirmed, an Orthopedic or Physiotherapy review may be added later. You may need: Nerve conduction study (NCS) and EMG to check nerve function. Cervical spine X-ray or MRI, if neck pain or stiffness accompanies the numbness. Vitamin B12 and Thyroid tests, since deficiencies can worsen nerve symptoms. Meanwhile, avoid prolonged biking without wrist rest, and try wearing a wrist support splint during rides. Simple nerve-gliding and posture exercises can help until proper evaluation. If you’d like a detailed assessment and treatment plan personally reviewed by me, you can reach me directly on WhatsApp — nine three two six zero two zero five three six — for a one-to-one consultation and further guidance. I’ll help you identify the exact cause and start recovery quickly.

Need more history — do you have any neck pain, stiffness? Also, how often and how long do you ride a bike daily? This could possibly be a case of cervical spondylitis aggravated by posture or vibration. Further evaluation and examination are advised.

Hello As you have mentioned that you are having tingling, numbness in your right upper limb when you are driving your bike. I would like you to know that these symptoms are related to your nerves. Any compression of your nerves/ long standing disease such as diabetes can lead to these symptoms. Your complaint is only confined to your right upper limb in that case you should rule out any compression of your nerves that may be due to any bony issue as I can see in attached image your pain is getting transmitted from your neck region to your right upper limb.
Next Steps
1. get yourself examine by an orthopedic 2. you can get x ray neck AP and lateral view in case of any cervical spine issue, get yourself treated accordingly
Health Tips
you can get vitamin D and B12 done To know further about your problem, you can contact me
