Dog-RABIES
Recieved 3 shots of abhayarub (0,3,7) and tetanus due to a dog scratch ONE MONTH AGO and again AFTER ONE MONTH of 3 doses of vaccine one dog accidentally scratched my hand ( no bleeding but there was another wound just near the scratch and also the dog licked my finger and his teeth touched no bleeding though). I again took vaccine of 4 doses (0,3,7, one between 14-28) AFTER ONE MONTH of the 2nd exposure... Am I safe or not or there something else I could do??? ... Will there be any problem since a full course comprises of 5 doses I took 4 only as per WHO recommendations of 4 doses... I am worried It's been 2 months of the exposure and the dog is still alive but seems little less active i noticed he got marks all over his body is it due to infection or something I don't know but is still alive after 2 months of the exposure... Is it possible for a rabid dog to live that long since the observation period is only 10 days after the exposure

Least , almost nil chances of you getting rabies. Reasons: Dog alive after 10 days and you have received complete PEP. I am sure you had cleaned the affected area with soap and water post exposure.

Hi, you usually don't need to take vaccination is the bite is within 3 months. So you have taken more than enough. As ypu have said if it's rabies the dog will show symptoms within 10 days. These go against rabies. No need to worry.

Listen u r fully vaccinated, these r not the symptoms of rabies. Unable to deglute is first sign, when ever person with dog un vaccinated  watch the water or want to drink anything unable n huge sound produced. Excessive salivation is also there. U r totally safe.
